I am so excited to launch this year's swim collection on June 30th to email subscribers. Last year I set out to make my first swim line, but I had one important goal - to use no new synthetic fabric. In order to achieve this goal, I limited myself to using deadstock fabric: over-stock fabric purchased from other brands that otherwise would end up in the landfill or a recycling facility.
Last year the swim collection sold out in one hour. This year I scoured Vancouver for the best deadstock swim fabric and was able to make three times as many suits to accommodate demand. That being said, I have a feeling these may go fast... not to worry - I'm always keeping an eye out for deadstock fabric for future collections!
We also cut up all the rest of our Spring linen, bamboo and supima cotton fabrics for one final restock of the most popular styles this season: the Andie Bra, Sunday Crop, Frannie Wrap and Penny Tee. Because we used up all the remaining fabric, inventory is limited. We are particularly low on Sunday Crop and Andie Bra inventory. But don't fret! I will take a pre-order for these popular styles soemtime this summer for fall delivery to ensure everyone who wants an Andie Bra, Becky Bra or Sunday Pant will get the chance to purchase with a lead time.
There are some hurdles when it comes to manufacturing in small batches... it's hard to keep up with demand sometimes. But, the beautiful thing is that every. single. garment. is bought and loved. I think we can all agree that the world doesn't need anymore garbage in the landfill. So thank you for believing in vision for #lessbutbetter and for shopping thoughtfully.
