NOW HIRING: OPERATIONS COORDINATOR


Free Label is looking for their first full time employee to play a significant role in building the brand. The operations coordinator will work closely with the owner in their downtown Vancouver office to run the day to day operations of Free Label and create and implement strategy for sustainable growth. This role focuses largely on marketing, production and community care. This entry level position is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to Free Label as we grow our impact on slow fashion and our community. The salary band for this role is $42-$48k depending on relevant experience and skillset. As Free Label's first full time employee, the expectation is that this person's role and compensation will grow with the brand.

EXPERIENCE

-A deep understanding of the ethical fashion industry

-Experience working in a team environment, whether in a small business or in a corporate setting

-Demonstrated ability to set, achieve and surpass goals

-The passion to learn, develop and grow professionally and personally

-The intellectual and emotional intelligence to critique and improve ethical business values

-A sense of urgency executing job responsibilities, prioritizing urgent and important work

-The right candidate can be trained


SKILLS

-Passion for - and knowledge of - the ethical fashion industry

-Shopify and Mailchimp savvy and eager to learn more about these platforms independently

-Web design and graphic design are an asset

-Writing and editing; attention to detail

-Socially conscious and actively unlearning ingrained white supremacy

-Multipotentialite; someone with diverse skills and interests

-Driver’s license and access to a car

-Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds (fabric rolls and boxes)

-Go getter attitude - always looking for the next creative project

-Ability to listen to constructive feedback and willingness to improve


DUTIES

-Work directly and closely with company owner to seamlessly lead day to day functions of business

-Take lead on textile and notion sourcing, seeking sustainable and ethical fabrics

-In charge of processing return garments and quality checks

-Take lead on sales analytics and reports to assist in sustainable production forecasting

-Create, develop and execute influencer partnerships and campaigns

-Assist in social media marketing planning and execution

-Take lead on content and copy creation for email marketing

-Create exciting press releases and execute PR strategy

-Update and curate Shopify website, improving UX

-Liaison with contractors and partners, such as Shopify, fulfillment center

-Assist in photoshoot planning and execution

-Assist in collection planning, designing and fittings

-Complete menial but necessary tasks, such as creating and printing barcodes, picking up markers, dropping off inventory, etc

-Manage event coordination (pop ups, warehouse sales, community events,) and generate new creative event concepts

-Assist and support customer care rep
