SPECIAL EVENT: 24 HOUR SHIPPING DAY FOR US CUSTOMERS
We are thrilled to plan a single tariff-free shipping day to the US so you can scoop up your Free Label goodies one more time.
Mark your calendar: Sunday, March 8, 8am PT–8pm PT
In full transparency, we are only able to ship tariff-free because of our proximity to CUSMA (the free trade agreement), which is up for renegotiation in July. This means, if the agreement is nullified in July, we will not be able to continue shipping to the US even with this complicated system as we would be subject to all tariffs and taxes. I don't want to create a false sense of urgency, but rather share all of the information we have so you can make an informed decision whether you want to place an order during our US shipping window.
You will get exclusive VERY early access to several not-yet-launched spring collections during the shipping window... if you're not already on our list, sign up now to get more info on how to take part during this special shipping day!

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THESE TARIFFS?
A tariff is a tax or a levy placed on the importer of a product. This means if your country is imposing tariffs, you - the customer and importer of the product - will be taxed.
We manufacture all of our garments proudly in Canada and ship out of our Canadian west coast fulfillment center. If you are a Canadian buying our product, you will not have to pay any duties or tariffs. If you are purchasing our product from outside of Canada, you will be responsible for the duties and tariff's collected by your country during import. Please note: we are not responsible for the duties and tariff's collected by your country during import, and we don't have the ability to refund these costs even if your order is returned.
As of right now, what we know about the Canada-USA tariffs is that due to the yarn forward rule in the CUSMA agreement, even Canadian made clothing is not exempt from 35% tariffs. Since Canada does not have a yarn spinning industry, and US and Mexican yarns are few and far between, we are not able to comply with CUSMA to avoid hefty tariffs despite using Canadian MILLED fabric with imported yarns.
As of August 29th, the de minimis exemption is no longer in place, meaning an order of any size is subject to clearance fees, tariffs and import taxes. Unfortunately, we do not have the infrastructure to comply with these new regulations on a regular basis as we are a small team and the paper work required to ship our goods tariff-free is immense.

In the meantime, the slow fashion movement is about so much more than buying ethical clothing. It's a whole new way to think about and consume fashion. So even though you may not be able to buy directly from us, we still have offerings for you!
